The Contemporary Worship Service is a relatively new service that uses praise and worship music to bring an upbeat and unifying worship experience to the congregation. Our St. Matthew's Band leads worshipers through contemporary music while Reverend Pruitt delivers God's message in a relaxed format. Communion is offered each week during stations where one can partake of communion, pray at the alter, give an offering, and light prayer candles. The Contemporary congregation is building a repertoire of familiar songs and the lyrics are always displayed on the overhead for everyone to praise God together.
